Almost over

Another tour is nearly over. This comes with some sadness and it still amazes me how far people have travelled to share in the genius of all things William Morris. We have a final farewell dinner tonight but I know on both tours the sadness is outweighed by new friendships and wonderful experiences. The group were not able to see Exeter College on Sunday but visited another instead.......and they tell me the dinner was magnificent in the Oxford Union hall. Yesterday we revisited Bibury and got those photos I deleted last time! William Morris said this was the most beautiful village in England.......these Arlington Row cottages were built in 1380.....

The river was so clear you could see the trout.......

The rain and cold has set in again but we were met with welcome arms this morning at All Saints Selsley .....and to make up for the weather we were treated with the Pre-Raphaelite stained glass and also some amazing embroideries......

The autumn leaves are starting to appear............
and trusty Larry is with us all the way.........

It was great to meet all of you on both tours - thank you for joining us (and you too Penny and Paul....we caught you in that cake shop!!!)

I will leave you with this little fellow watching out the window who we have passed many times on our travels.....

We are planning a trip to Cheltenham on Thursday before we fly to the US....so see you then.

  1. Your photos really contrast the age of buildings in England and Australia. We are so young!
Hope your back is improved and happy travelling.
